Wow! Wow again! I’m amazed and really impressed with you and all your extra efforts, Savanna. It’s very rare that I find a seventh grader so impressive and driven that they are doing extra homework all on their own. It’s also rare for me to meet a seventh grader who has such a well thought out goal and is actually acting upon it. And perhaps it’s even rarer for me to meet a seventh grader who reads the newspaper. Bravo, Savanna! You are truly in a class of your own. And I’m so pleased that I can play a small role in your success and happiness as a student and as a person.
I probably don’t have to say what I’m going to say next when it comes to you, but I’m going to say it anyway. Although I am very impressed with your laser-like focus on reaching your math goal, I want to make sure that you’re also taking a little time here and there for yourself to be just a kid.
Your childhood years will pass by much faster than you’re calculating. If you’re setting a solid foundation of healthy and productive habits that you’ll carry into your adult years, you’re already way ahead of the game, and you’re going to find yourself much more successful and happy. But, when you are the successful adult that we all know you’ll be, just make sure that you’ll also have fond memories of yourself chewing gum, eating pizza, going to the movies, and spending quality time with family and friends.
So in closing Savanna, keep doing all the amazing things that you’re doing. Don’t ever let this world dim your dreams, or wipe away your smile. If you follow my suggestions in this article, you and everyone you surround yourself with will continue to be very successful and extremely happy.
