Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen. Nobody knows my sorrow… Sorry, folks, but trouble is just part of life. Sometimes, we all feel like singing the blues with Louis Armstrong. Life doesn’t always go the way we want. Life rarely goes the way we want. So when we’re having one of those days, and there will be a lot of them, the worst thing we can do is to become helpless, feel sorry for ourselves, and get lost in the blues.
Go ahead and observe the people around you. What’s the typical reaction when things go wrong? Yup! You’re right. You’ve seen what I’ve seen. People tend to get thrown for a loop when things go wrong, don’t they?
Another thing we’ve all seen is the endless complaining from people who have been thrown for a loop. They’ll tell everyone they know- and even some they don’t- about their stroke of bad luck like that, which will somehow fix it all. Complaining doesn’t fix anything. The only thing complaining does is make the monster bigger and dig your rut dangerously deeper.
When things are going wrong, there is only one logical answer- G.O.Y.A., Get Off Your Arse! We can’t sit there paralyzed like some helpless victim. We must move. We must take action. We must do something to improve our situation. Just sitting there only puts us further and further behind. Do anything, no matter how small it is, and it will get us moving in the right direction.
Now please share with the rest of us how you plan to use Granddaddy’s secret of “GOYA- Get Off Your Arse!”
Thanks for your time,
