Doubt your doubting! Yes you read that correctly! We all need to doubt our doubting.

I don’t know about you, but I haven’t found any way yet not to have doubts. As a matter of fact I don’t think I know anybody that doesn’t have doubts. So I guess it’s just natural to have doubts. There is no way of getting around it, over it, or under it. We’re all going to have doubts from time to time regardless of who we are are or where we live.

So if there is no way to get away from, and be free from doubts, then what should we do? Ah… Do you hear a little doubt in this last question?

If we can’t escape this phenomenon of doubting then why don’t we just join it? It’s sort of like that old saying, “If you can’t beat them, then join them!” Well, not only will we join forces with this formidable force of doubting, but we’ll even do one better by actually beating it!!!

That’s right! You heard me correct. We’re going to join it and BEAT IT!!!

We’re going to use the force of doubt against itself. From now on every time we feel a doubt entering into our body, we’re going to turn that force on itself by doubting the doubt…

For example, the next time we try something new and doubts creep in about how we’re not good enough to do this and everybody is going to laugh at us, we’re going to turn the tables on doubt by doubting it. We’re going to confidently and boldly say to ourselves that we doubt that we’re really not good enough to do this, and we doubt that everybody will laugh at us.

And you know what? The bottom line is that we are good enough to do this and they won’t laugh at us!

If we follow this piece of advice above, then we too will be able to make the wild claim that Dr. Henry James, the father of modern psychology, once made wheb he said, “90% of the worst things that have ever happened to me in my life have only happened in my head.”

Doubt your doubting! Venture forward anyways. Most likely you’re going to be pleasantly surprised by what you find…

Now, please share how you plan to doubt your doubting.

Thanks for your time,
